Lucy Cannon - Thank you

Lucy first camped with the Surrey DA in the 1960’s with her parents, Alan & June Worron, and over the years camped with various DA’s and organisations, never losing her interest in DA camping

Lucy returned to Surrey DA as the editor of the Beacon newsletter from 2001 to 2008, with only a short break in 2003 whilst she joined her husband, David who was working in Korea.  She also kept the DA photo albums up to date through 2002/3

 During 2007, she assisted her husband David as Sites officer whilst he was ill, rejoining the committee in 2017, she was elected as Vice-chair in 2018, a post she held for four years through various house moves eventually settling in Wales.

 During her periods with the DA, Lucy has been responsible for designing various posters  and programmes for meets most notably, the Surrey Centenary and South Eastern Region Anniversary Meets.

 Now retiring from Committee in 2026, we hope we are not saying goodbye, but as always, hope to see you in another field soon.
